TROPICANA CRIOLLA Collection
Taking inspiration from my grandmother's house — the epicenter of family gatherings and warm island living, Tropicana Criolla exhibits the beauty found in 20th-century Puerto Rican architecture, focusing on 'losas criollas' (Puerto Rican tiles) and part of 'la vida en el trópico' (life in the tropics). Combining the complexity of the hand-made Puertorican tiles in spaces and the simplicity of just going to the beach to connect with our homeland connects us all to the beauty of 'la vida en el tropico.' Both experiences of going to ' la casa de abuela' and 'acho Vamos a la playa' are synonymous with fond memories, laughter, and love.
